After my mom Jeanette Hansen and my aunt Barb Schultz each passed
away from breast cancer, family members in Michigan wanted to do
something in memory of them. Because a lot of family members enjoy
golf, they decided to hold a golf outing in 2000 to
celebrate the lives of my mom and my aunt.
My family was all too familiar with the need for additional money
when women are going through treatment for breast cancer, so they
decided they would start raising money through golf outings to assist
local women with their financial needs. The women who received the help
were able to use the money to pay for their mortgage, car, utilities,
medical expenses, a well deserved vacation after recovering from
treatments, or a last vacation for their families.
Fore Her, Inc. was founded in 2013 to continue the tradition of raising money for women located in Walton and Okaloosa Counties (in Florida) in honor and memory of my mom and my aunt.
This is just the beginning!! We are so happy and excited to be able to help fill a need in our area for women battling breast cancer and their families.
